Doves
I got really lucky with this shot; the blue strip got redone with the paint company’s name shortly after I took it. I pass this building almost every day heading to and from UBC and something about it, with the dove graffiti and kind of solid blue strip of paint, is (was) just so simplistically appealing.

Taken as part of a study of urban actions and remnants. Something about the contrast between the tattered last bits of the poster and the painted on ad for New Home Renovation just seems so interesting to me.

This is Faran, and he is our miniature schnauzer. He’s such a character, I wish I could have captured more of that fact in this shot. I still really like this shot though… Partially because it’s one of the few I have of him, and partially because he’s just so adorable.
